Tests, reviews and background on Scott

When ski touring, you work up a sweat on the climb and quickly cool down at the summit. How does SCOTT solve this temperature conflict without having to constantly change clothes?

SCOTT meets this challenge with a highly breathable layering system that was developed specifically for ski touring. Technical midlayers and insulating clothing with stretch materials and other technologies are available in different warmth levels. This allows skiers to choose the right balance between thermal insulation and breathability. In addition, touring jackets and trousers have ventilation options such as underarm zips, which can be used to quickly regulate body temperature during strenuous climbs. Together, these solutions ensure a high level of comfort from the climb to the summit without having to constantly change clothes.

How does SCOTT combine reliable weather protection with a high level of comfort and an optimal fit?

SCOTT relies on leading weather protection technologies such as GORE-TEX and also offers its own technology, DRYOsphere, to cover different requirements and price ranges. Waterproof and windproof membranes protect against the elements while remaining breathable to maintain comfort all day long. For an optimal fit and unrestricted freedom of movement, SCOTT relies on anatomically pre-shaped cuts, which are developed using modern 3D design software. This means the clothing adapts to the body's natural movements while skiing.

How does SCOTT protect particularly stressed areas from damage caused by ski edges and rock contact so that the products last as long as possible?

Longevity is a central part of product development at SCOTT. By collaborating with leading technology partners such as GORE-TEX and selecting robust materials for demanding mountain conditions, products are created that function reliably over many seasons, even with intensive use. Particular attention is paid to high-traffic areas that frequently come into contact with equipment, rocks, or rough terrain. This extends the lifespan of the products and supports a more sustainable use of outdoor clothing.

Are the individual clothing layers from SCOTT designed as a coordinated system?

Yes. SCOTT develops its clothing as a continuous layering system in which outer jackets, insulating clothing and midlayers are optimally coordinated with one another. At the same time, each layer is versatile and can also be worn individually. This makes the clothing a flexible companion for a wide range of outdoor activities, from ski touring and alpine skiing to hiking, cycling and other adventures in the mountains.

Which trend colors await us for men and women in the coming winter?

For winter 2027, SCOTT combines timeless, mountain-inspired colors with carefully selected seasonal accents. The trend colors differ between the women's and men's collections and ensure a modern, coordinated look for clothing and accessories. At the same time, the focus is on good visibility and versatile combination options on and off the slopes.
