Some classics remain timeless. Since 1852, Devold of Norway has been producing wool clothing for outdoor enthusiasts, focusing on nature's gifts: natural fibers. The wool for the new Islender Refined comes from Norway, manufactured in Europe. Additionally, the Oeko-Tex certified sweaters are still sewn by hand. As a lighter, modern version of the legendary Islender sweater, this airy knitted sweater made of pure virgin wool inspires.

Devold Expedition Merino Silk baselayer for men or women – product image

Devold

Expedition Merino Silk

A base layer made from a wool-silk blend? By adding silk to the merino base layer, Devold's warm Expedition line becomes even softer. In addition, the silk content improves tear and abrasion resistance, the feel of the garment, and moisture wicking. Since the silk fibers are on the outside of the knit structure, the merino wool on the inside wicks moisture away from the body and towards the silk, where it can easily evaporate. The combination of the two natural fibers makes the garment fully compostable.

Expedition Arctic Pro

Polar explorer Børge Ousland knows what it takes to survive in the most inhospitable, coldest regions on Earth. Together with Devold, he developed the new Expedition Arctic Pro baselayer. It consists of a clever combination of three material qualities: Exposed areas of the top are reinforced with a thick midlayer wool quality, a structured grid area insulates and stores body heat. Light mesh regulates moisture transport.

Expedition Arctic Hoodie

Devold developed the new Expedition Arctic Hoodie for men and women in collaboration with Norwegian polar explorer Børge Ousland. The inside is made of 100% Merino wool, while the outer layer consists of 90% Aquaduct-treated Merino wool and 10% polyamide for increased durability. The hoodie features a kangaroo pocket to warm cold hands and a close-fitting hood, specifically designed for extreme conditions, with chin and face protection.

Devold

Tuvegga Sport Air Hoody

This technical reversible shirt made of 100% Merino wool offers both high breathability and thermal insulation, adapting to the demands on the mountain and the athlete's needs. During strenuous ascents, the smooth surface allows for rapid moisture wicking to the outside. On cold days, the top can simply be reversed, providing additional insulation through air channels via the 3D structure on the skin. The Merino wool acts like an air conditioning system for the body, is also odor-neutral, and does not need to be washed as often, which is environmentally friendly. The wool used in the products manufactured in Europe can be traced back to carefully selected partner farms in Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina.

Devold Tinden Spacer Vest, a grey, lightweight merino wool vest, insulating and breathable, for ski touring. Product image.

Devold

Tinden Spacer Vest

A versatile lightweight: The Tinden Spacer Vest is a true highlight. Thanks to the innovative fabric blend of fine merino wool (18.7 microns) and spacer, air pockets form on the inside for additional insulation. The high wool content inhibits odor, stores warmth even when damp, and ensures perfect climate management. The synthetic spacer material is also extremely breathable, feather-light, and stable at the same time. The special 3D weave structure provides enough space for constant air circulation between the individual layers and simultaneously allows less moisture to penetrate. Despite its low weight, the vest thus offers outstanding thermal performance and temperature regulation. The stretch content ensures an optimal fit and freedom of movement. With its sporty cut, the European-made Tinden Spacer Vest is a versatile piece of clothing that should not be missing on any tour.
