BACKLINE test magazine 2020

Everything was set for the second BACKLINE ski touring gear test. The equipment lined up, the testers ready, the conditions in the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps ideal. What happened next is known to everyone and, sadly, still omnipresent for most of us.

The Covid-19 shutdown forced us to cancel the comprehensive BACKLINE ski touring gear test. Together with all our partners we looked for alternatives and decided to compile a comprehensive overview and in-depth information on ski touring equipment for the winter of 20/21. This summary comes without test results, of course, but it is enriched with plenty of interesting comparative data that will make selecting and buying easier.

Many thanks to everyone who took this step with us and supported it. We wish all readers a snowy and safe winter and are already looking forward to the test next March, which will be published in the early winter of 2021.
