Shaped to roam.
The new UBAC line. For the place the lifts never reach.
Two hours of skinning done, climbing skins off, and the only sound is your own breathing. You turn around, and there is nobody.
We shape the UBAC light enough to get you here and solid enough to ski the way down. One construction across the line: paulownia core with poplar reinforcement, multi-axial carbon/glass fiber, half-cap structure. Four widths, 89, 95, 102 and 110 mm, for four ways to ski the mountain beyond the lifts.
UBAC 95
It feels at home in any snow.
Lifted at both tip and tail, it planes up in fresh snow and releases easily when you change direction. At 95 mm underfoot it sits right in the middle: wide enough to stay afloat on a powder morning, narrow enough to hold an edge when the snow firms up by the end of the day. The UBAC for the unknown day, for skiers who would rather not own a quiver.
UBAC 110
Earn the powder, then surf it.
Wide underfoot with a double rocker: in deep snow it rises to the surface and stays there, turning each turn into a loose, surfy slash. A light core hides most of that width on the way up. The ski for high bowls after a storm and cold pow in the trees. Big float, honest weight.
UBAC 89
You forget it is on your feet.
The lightest of the line. A paulownia core wrapped in carbon keeps it feather-light going up, and on the way down it adapts to any snow: a firm edge on hard morning snow, lively in spring corn, at ease when fresh snow shows up. The ski for long tours, dawn starts and glacier approaches, where kilometers matter more than deep snow.
UBAC 102
Solid underfoot when the line gets steep.
Built stiff and planted, with a wide section underfoot that puts a long, strong edge on the snow. On a firm, steep face that edge bites and stays, so a committed turn holds instead of sliding. The ski for steep couloirs, exposed faces at high speed and long missions that end in a serious line down.
